When I began teaching at Magnuson Christian School, in 2005, it gave me the wonderful opportunity to combine two things I have a passion for, teaching and children’s ministry. Seeing the academic growth and development of students, while watching their faith in God blossom, is an amazing experience. Now, as the director of the school, I am blessed to be able to continue to work with the incredible staff and the wonderful families that make up the Magnuson community.
My name is Renee Meyer I have been teaching for over 10 years in many Christian educational settings. I started teaching at Magnuson Christian School September of 2013. I feel very blessed and excited to be teaching in such a wonderful Christian environment with caring staff and families that have the love for God and one another.
I am married to Jon Meyer and we live in Hugo, MN with our two children Shea and Reid. We love spending time outdoors camping, skiing and playing outdoors.
I enjoy teaching at Magnuson where I can share the love of God and how much they are loved with all of my students each and everyday!

My name is Wendy Cole and I began teaching at Magnuson Christian School in 2011. I have taught both kindergarten and first grade while at Magnuson. Previously, I taught second grade in the Mounds View School District.
I live in Vadnais Heights with my husband, Dave, and our two boys, Jack, and Andrew. We love to spend time outdoors, camping, biking, gardening and cheering on the Twins!
It has been such a privilege to be at Magnuson Christian School. The support and dedication of the families and the staff make this an amazing place to teach. I feel so blessed to have been called to be a part of this school.

My name is Allison Wiederin and I am so grateful to have joined Magnuson Christian School in the Fall of 2013. I graduated from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2010 after completing a five year licensure program in Elementary Education.
I live in Roseville with my husband, Jake, and our dog, Koda. We enjoy doing almost anything outdoors, taking Koda for walks and runs and spending time with our families.
Being a part of the MCS community is truly a blessing and a joy. I enjoy being able to teach and grow with all my students in our relationship with God each day.

My name is Jennifer Ahrenholz and I joined the staff at Magnuson in the fall of 2013. My background includes 12 years of teaching experience in a variety of Christian classroom settings. I have been blessed to be called to ministry at Magnuson Christian School and look forward to sharing my love for God and His creation with my students.

My name is Krista Ostrand and I am one of the second grade teachers at Magnuson Christian School. Before teaching here, I previously was a substitute teacher at various public school districts and also taught grades 4-6 at a private elementary school in Woodbury. I also had the privilege of being home with my two children during their early childhood years.
I live in Mahtomedi with my husband and two daughters. We love spending time together as a family. We especially love the outdoors and taking our two dogs for walks.
Being a part of this wonderful Christian family has been a blessing to me. I love working with this fabulous group of teachers, families and students at MCS.
Third Grade Teacher
My name is Heather Norman, and I am the third grade teacher at Magnuson Christian School. This is my fifth year at Magnuson and my eighteenth year of teaching. I have taught grades 3-6 in both public and private schools in Minnesota.
I live in White Bear Lake with my husband, Chad, and our three children, Noelle, Annika, and Noah. I am blessed to be married to a wonderful man who happens to be a teacher, too! We both love going to work every day and are grateful for the opportunity to help children grow personally, spiritually, and intellectually. When we are not teaching, we love to spend time with family and friends, especially the summers at the lake.
Being part of a Christian ministry is a great joy to me, and I absolutely love teaching children! I feel blessed that God has led our family to such an amazing Christian school. The students, families, and staff at Magnuson Christian School are truly a gift from God!
Fourth Grade Teacher
In the fall of 2011, I was blessed to have been hired at Magnuson Christian School as the 4th grade teacher. Previously, I have taught in Minneapolis Public Schools and Eden Prairie Public Schools. In Eden Prairie, I taught with a team of exceptional teachers who worked to integrate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) into every lesson.
I have Master's of Teaching degree with a teaching science focus from Hamline University. While I have a great curiosity for all of God's creation, I also love to create art. My favorite medium is soft pastels, and my artwork can be viewed at www.jkpastels.com. I live in Minneapolis.
My favorite part of being at Magnuson is being able to share my faith with my students and to hear about theirs. There are so many situations that arise during the school day when being able to share faith in Jesus is the best response. I am so happy to be here and to be apart of this loving Christian family.
Fifth Grade Teacher
I am so grateful to be teaching at Magnuson Christian School! I have been a part of Magnuson since 2009 and truly enjoy upper level students. Their excitement for learning, sense of humor, heart for the Lord, and interesting class discussions are a blessing to me!
I also have taught in Pennsylvania and Texas and have bachelor degrees in Bible and elementary education, along with an MA in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. I live in Andover with my husband Ronn and our three children, Taylor, Kathryn, and Jenny. Ronn teaches Bible at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. We both count it a privilege to be a part of such wonderful teaching ministries!

My name is Jack Jorgensen. I joined the Magnuson Christian School staff in 2011, teaching science, math, technology and Bible. I enjoy instructing core curriculum, and it is an honor to be used by God to guide our students along their faith journey.

My name is Sharon Fresvik and I teach Language Arts and Social Studies in the Middle School. I have 16 years of teaching experience at the middle school level.
This is my second year at Magnuson.
My husband Mike and I live in White Bear Lake, and are longtime members of First Lutheran Church. We have three married adult children who have blessed us with eight incredible grandchildren. Spending time with family and friends, being at our cabin, and reading are activities I enjoy.
It is a blessing to be teaching at Magnuson Christian School, where God and His Word are a part of our school day.
Phy Ed Specialist
I graduated from MSU - Mankato in 2005 with a BST in Human Performance Studies with an Aquatics emphasis and a Coaching Minor. I have enjoyed teaching PE at Magnuson Christian School since 2008. I am the assistant boys swimming coach for the White Bear Lake Boys High School Swimming and Diving team and was the section 4AA boys assistant coach of the year for 2012. I also enjoy teaching Chess classes after school at Magnuson.
God has blessed me with the gift and passion for music! I love music - if I could sing this to you I would! I am a graduate of Minnesota State University Mankato with a degree in Music Education. I have been teaching music at Magnuson Christian School since the Fall 2012. The music program is growing here at Magnuson with the addition of the 4th through 8th Grade Band and the Magnuson Choir. I also teach private voice and piano lessons in the area. I love teaching music and truly enjoy working with children.

My name is Roslyn Deitz and I am the Extended Day Morning Coordinator and assistant to the kindergarten teacher at Magnuson Christian School. Some of my other responsibilities include supervising the students during the lunch hour and at recess. It has been a wonderful experience working with the teachers, students, and families, at Magnuson Christian School.
First Grade (Room A) Assistant
My name is Mary Marshall. I have been at Magnuson Christian School since 2006. Prior to that I was a paraprofessional with the White Bear School District for 11 years. I am an assistant to the first grade teacher. My duties include morning lunch count, working with the children in the classroom and supervising the computer class for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. My other responsibilities include supervising the students during lunchtime and outside recess.
I am blessed to work with the wonderful students, teachers and staff at Magnuson Christian School.
I am blessed to be the Food Services Manger for Magnuson Christian School. Serving the kids, seeing their smiles, excitement for learning, and growth in a relationship with their Lord from year to year is amazing! I have two boys attending Magnuson. My children have received such a well-rounded academic and Christian foundation that I could never imagine a better place for them.
