Beginning in March 2011 we started using "Cafeteria Accounts" through our new school data management system, Sycamore Education.

Each family has a cafeteria account that their students can use for hot lunch and/or milk purchases. At the Meet the Teacher evening families will receive their login information for the Sycamore Education system which will then allow parents to view their family's Cafeteria Account details online.

Each day that they are having hot lunch (or milk), students will bring their Lunch Account Cards with them to the lunch line, where the cards will be scanned and your family cafeteria account will be charged. It is your child’s responsibility to know if he or she will be having hot lunch for that day. After lunch, the Lunch Account Cards will be returned to your child’s classroom for safe keeping.

The current plan is to have the lunch menu posted here on the school website and it will be in the Sycamore Education system.

An email will be sent to families when their cafeteria account balance is below $7.50.  Parents can also view their lunch accounts online. Lunch charges will be shown in real-time and payments will be posted usually within 24 hours of payment.

Your payment may be in the form of a check or you may use e-Funds online. (Every family is able to use e~Funds and it is the preferred payment method. The first time you log on you will need to register and in Step 2 enter your 10-digit home phone number which is your Family ID. You only need once, but after you are registered you are set to make payments at any time.)

MCS serves 1% and chocolate milk to our students. Kindergarten students receive milk for snack break at no charge.

If parents or other guests would like to have hot lunch at school, we welcome you to do so. The adult hot lunch price is $3.00. If possible please notify us the day before you are planning to come so we can plan accordingly.
